Our condolences to the Ortiz family.  Papi was always the ROCK for everyone in the neighborhood.  He was the kindest, sweetest, gentlest man.  He will truly be missed.

Poppy was like a father to all us kids in the neighborhood, he was more then a store owner, he was more then a friend. I feel honored and blessed to have had Poppy in my life. My childhood would not have been the same.
I know Poppy is in heaven, because God needed a man that could love many people and never ask for anything in return. I hope the family knows that the impact there family was on us kids growing up, and that we all are better people for knowing them...

A wonderful man whom ran the corner store at W.76th Dudley ave.(Nachos)for many years with his family. Would give you the shirt off his back. Such a huge part of my childhood/ life. He was a great, wise, careing man with a huge heart and a wonderful family. He and his family were there for our family during our hard times and even though we are not able to be there in person please know we are there in thought and spirit. He will truely be missed. God gained angel.
