Jose Manuel Marrero Figueroa, known as Gino to family and friends, of Cleveland, Ohio, died at his home on April 1, 2026. He was 53 years old. Gino was born in Cleveland Ohio on March 22, 1973, and raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico until the age of 17. He was the son of Jose Manuel Marrero and Noemi Figueroa.
Gino’s heartbeat always played to a salsa rhythm and his love for life showed in his singing, dancing, and in playing musical instruments. He enjoyed salsa concerts, and playing and watching sports. Above all he loved spending time with family, especially with his mom enjoying her delicious homemade cooking. He also enjoyed throwing the football around and playing video games with his sister, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Javier; sisters, Wanda and Shayla; nieces and nephews, Tyena, Brandon, Daniel, Camila and Savbian.
He will always be in the hearts of those who loved him and remembered by those who had the honor of knowing him.
