Larry was born February 27, 1954 in Knoxville, TN, the son of the late James S. Hayes and Etta R. Hayes (nee Helton). He is the loving father of Kimberly Joann Shubert (David); dear brother of Patricia "Patsy" Ann Crouch and James Harold Hayes (Linda); adored uncle of Renee Cruz (Fred), Jamie Hayes, Jeff Hayes, Natalie Cruz (Martin) and Freddie Cruz (Jessica) and partner Cecelia "Sissy" Colella.
Throughout his life, he had many accomplishments. He was a member of Cherokee Hills Baptist Church in Morristown, TN, and held membership at the Cleveland Masonic Lodge for many years. He had a fulfilling career as a machinist/tool & die maker. Over the years, his hobbies included restoring classic cars, listening to music, playing his dobro, hunting, watching Cleveland Browns football games, and spending time with his family. His daughter was his pride and joy. His relationship with his dog, Roxy, is proof that dogs are truly man's best friend. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and German Shepherd, Roxy.
Visitation Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 5PM-7PM at Craciun Berry Funeral Home, 7200 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment to follow at West Park Cemetery.
The family requests that all in attendance wear a mask.
