passing after a brief illness, on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the age of 85.
Owen Royes, also known as Uncle ByeBye and Ginga, was born the 27th
of May 1934. He was the son of late John Royes and Louise Russell. Owen
attended school in Lime Hall and became a skillful mason at a young age.
In 1984, Owen moved to America and resided in Cleveland, Ohio with his
late wife Doris Royes and children. He pursued his career in carpentry and
masonry. Owen enjoyed being with his family, spending quality time with
his grandkids and telling old time stories of his life.
Owen Royes was predeceased by his brothers: Bentley Russell, Laclan
Royes, Clinton Brown, and sister Peggy Barry.
Those left to mourn his passing and cherish his memory are his siblings
Gordon Russell, Junie Russell, Shirley Royes, Sissy Royes and Meryl Royes.
His children Verona, Michael, Patricia, Alexander, Jillian, and Colleen.
Alicia, the oldest of 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren will also
cherish his memory. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and treasured
friends will always remember him.
