Vasile was born September 17, 1941 in Arpasu De Jos, Romania, the son of the late Gheorghe and Maria (Pavel) Vasu. He was the beloved husband of Elena (Dirzan) Vasu, who predeceased him on December 15, 2013; loving father of Maria Vasu and Gheorghe Vasu (Elena); cherished grandfather of Jennifer Vasu (Craig Ryba), Ovidiu Vasu and Maria Vasu (Ovidiu Panaidel) and great-grandfather of Jennifer Vasu (Craig Ryba), Ovidiu Vasu and Maria Vasu (Ovidiu Panaidel).
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 1PM-3PM and on Monday from 2PM-6PM with a Saracusta service at 330PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 14768 Lorain Ave., Cleveland. Funeral services Tuesday at 10AM at St. Mary Romanian Orthodox Church, 3256 Warren Rd., Cleveland. Interment to follow at West Park Cemetery.
