Wanda Denise Johnson

County, Alabama to loving parents James and Classie Johnson. Wanda had

ten siblings.

Wanda and her family moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1969. Wanda was a

graduate of the Cleveland Public Schools.

Wanda spent most of her career as a home health aide. She also spent a

short time working at Jacob’s Field in janitorial services. Wanda accepted

the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and joined Lake Galilee Baptist Church

in early 2000.

Wanda met the love of her life, Lawrence, in 2000. It was love at first sight

for the couple. Wanda and Lawrence married on July 29, 2005, and were

inseparable until she went home to be with the Lord.

Wanda loved to cook. She enjoyed watching daytime soap operas, especially

The Young and the Restless. Wanda’s favorite music was gospel and R&B.

Wanda took pleasure in fishing, playing the lottery, and playing Poker with

her friends. Wanda was happiest spending time with her family.

Wanda transitioned from this life on October 17, 2021. She was preceded

in death by her parents, James and Classie Johnson; and siblings Elijah

O’Neal, Sidney O’Neal, Jacqueline Johnson, Eddy Johnson, and James

Johnson, Jr.

Left to cherish her memories are her devoted husband,

Lawrence Johnson; sisters, Brenda Jackson, Nanette Johnson, Linda Lynch,

Genoris Johnson, and Rosey O’Neal; and a host of nieces, nephews, and

other relatives and friends.
