Growing up in Killingworth, she was engaged and involved in prevention efforts from the age of thirteen, including conducting compliance checks and successfully advocating for the passage of the so-called Connecticut Social Host Law. This passion led her to work at The Governor’s Prevention Partnership both during and after college. She attended Central Connecticut State University, where she majored in Political Science. She then worked for Madison Youth & Family Services until 2024, when she became employed as Director of Public Health at Advancement Strategies Consulting.
She had a big heart and was a force of nature, with amazing organizational and presentation skills.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher, her daughter, Niamh, her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Gabrielle Hansen, of Beaumont, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews and her best friend, Cristal Philbrick of North Branford.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00am at the Congregational Church in Killingworth. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Meriden Humane Society or the Congregational Church in Killingworth.
