

David Charles Cannella, 49, of Clinton, CT, passed away unexpectedly on February 4th, 2022 at his home. David was born on February 20th, 1972 in Brookfield, CT to the late Henry (Hank) Cannella of Easton, PA and the late Judith Hofmiller of Brookfield, CT. He is predeceased by his Uncle Richard (Ricky) Hofmiller of Orange, CT. David attended Brookfield High School and later attended TCI (Technical Career Institute) where he received his HVAC Certificate. He worked for NERO Air Conditioning as a licensed technician. He then worked for R&B in Guilford, CT as a HVAC technician. For the past 20 years, he worked along side his beloved uncles, Richard and Robert Hofmiller at DFM Bridgemaster in North Haven,CT as an electronics troubleshooter as well as a hydraulic mechanic.
David will be dearly missed by his Uncle Robert (Bob) Hofmiller and Aunt Rosemary (Ro) of Guilford, CT, Auntie Brenda Hofmiller of Warsaw, PA, cousins Jacqueline Ciocca and (Steve) of Madison, CT and Lindsay Varley and (Luke) of Guilford, CT and his littlest cousins whom adored him and called him “Uncle David”, Luke, Jack and Peter Ciocca and Arthur Varley.
He also leaves behind many cousins who loved him dearly and will miss him in Cape Cod, MA and
Connecticut and also leaves behind many dear friends especially his childhood best friend Ken Davidson of Brookfield, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11 AM directly in Saint Mary’s Church, Grove St., Clinton, CT 06413. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 4 PM to 7 PM in the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton, CT 06413. Burial will be private.
