

Edward Lawrence Sullivan of North Guilford, CT, left this earthly life on Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 22, 1960 in Brooklyn, NY. He grew up in Shrewsbury, MA, and Bethel, CT. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, in 1983 where he was a brother of the Delta Phi Fraternity. Ed worked in information technology as an independent contractor.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Sullivan & Merten “Terry” Jones Sullivan, and his sister, Kimberly Sullivan. He is survived by his wife, Ann Dowie Sullivan; his daughters, Margaret Sullivan, and Brigid (Scott) Allen and their daughter Brooke Allen; his siblings Elizabeth Slanaker, Timothy Sullivan, Mary Sullivan, Erin Sullivan and 11 nieces and nephews.
An avid fisherman and hiker, Ed enjoyed travel, playing golf, building projects around the farm, and spending time with family and friends. His granddaughter was the light of his life.
The family would like to thank Smilow Cancer Center, Connecticut Hospice, and Home Instead Guilford for the care and compassion they showed Ed in his final days.
