Guillermo Torres

Guillermo R. Torres, 79, of Clinton, passed away Feb. 8, 2011 at Bridebrook Health & Rehab. Center, in East Lyme. He was the beloved husband of Rosa Andaluz. He was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico on April 1, 1931 to the late Felipe and Ramona Torres. Mr. Torres was a US Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict, and retired after 15 yrs. from Pratt & Whitney of Middletown. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed. Besides his wife of 48 yrs. he is survived by a son, William Torres of Old Saybrook; 2 daughters: Iris Cummings and Diane Torres – both of Clinton; 4 grandchildren: Lucas; Austin; Lily; and Logan. He is predeceased by 3 brothers, 3 sisters Family and friends may visit the Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton, Sat. Feb. 12, 2011 from 1 – 3pm, with a funeral services starting a 3pm followed by military honors. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
