

She graduated from Quinnipiac University.
She worked as a hematologist and later became a supervisor in the Hematology Lab at Yale- New Haven Hospital. Natalie worked at Yale for a total of 57 years, additionally she taught medical students how to draw blood and trained new staff members in the Hematology Department.
Natalie was actively involved in St. Lawrence Church in Killingworth as a CCD teacher, a Eucharistic Minister at church and for partitioners who were homebound. Natalie also volunteered for a variety of church events, such as the annual Strawberry Festival. She was also a member of the Public Health Committee for the Town of Killingworth.
Natalie would often be seen shopping at the Clinton Crossing Outlets or at any local plant stores and local bakeries. She and her husband, Robert, were regulars of the Copper Skillet in Killingworth. She loved working in her herb garden, reading mystery books, and participating in community theatre along with being a member of various other committees and organizations. Natalie had a heart for service and loved taking on new hobbies.
Natalie is preceded in death by their mother, Natalie Trischman, father, Earnest Ortoli, and brother, Earnest Ortoli Jr.
Natalie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Drew (Killingworth, CT), daughter, Amanda Drew Roy (Killingworth, CT/Abbeville, MS), and son-in-law, Jamie Roy (Abbeville, MS)
The family would like to thank the Neurology Department at Yale New Haven Hospital and Constellation Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Natalie during her final days. All the staff with the Neurology Department cared for Natalie with compassion and checked in with her family during visits to make sure every need was met. Constellation Hospice was knowledgeable and compassionate. The family would also like to thank Swan Funeral Home in Clinton for their knowledge, guidance and transparency as we planned the services for Natalie.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Lawrence Church, located at 7 Hemlock Dr, Killingworth, CT on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10am. Graveside memorial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery on Green Hill Rd, Killingworth.
