

Annie Ruth Etheridge Welch was called home by her Lord on January 3, 2012. She passed away at her home in Raymond, MS with her family by her side. She was 97 years old and was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Woodrow Wilson Welch, and four sons Clyde Bernard Welch, Harry M. Welch, Charles E. Welch and Jerry E. Welch. She is survived by two sons Cecil I. Welch (Janice) and Robert W. (Bobby) Welch (Pam), four daughters Barbara Mardis (Jimmy), Linda Rozina (George), Judy Quarles (Bobby), Anita Hemphill (Leon), daughter-in-law Jackie Welch and four sisters, Katherine Collier, Elaine Clodfelter, Mable Kirby and Margie Hovas. She also leaves a legacy of 31 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Although she will be greatly missed by her loved ones, our comfort is in knowing that "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his Godly ones.” (Psalm 116:15)
Arrangements are being handled by Wright & Ferguson of Clinton, MS with visitation from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 5th. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 6th at St Paul Presbyterian Church, 5125 Robinson Road, Jackson, MS with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Clinton Blvd., Jackson, MS.
