James Louis Hood Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday March 29, 2012 from First Pentecostal Church in Jackson. Visitation will be between the hours of 5 and 7 PM Wednesday from the Clinton Chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home and after 10 AM Thursday at the church. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM in the North Union Cemetery near Vaiden, MS.

Born in Mississippi, Mr. Hood had made his home in Clinton for many years. He was the owner Hood Construction Company and he was a member of First Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his wife Fredna Sawyer Hood of Durant, his daughter Sylvia Hood Henry (Jon) of Morgantown, West Virginia, his son James Louis Hood, Jr. of Vaiden, MS, Two Grandsons, Jonathan and Jarad Henry of Morgantown, and his sister Velma Hood of Durant.
