Julius Melson Russell Jr.

Julius Melson "Russ" Russell, 90 died August 13, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Morrison Heights Baptist Church at 11:00AM with a one hour visitation before. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.

He is preceded in death by his wives Ouida Moulder Russell and Eloise Dreher Russell. He is survived by his son, Rodney Russell; two daughters Regina Herren and Rochelle Bishop; grandchildren, Elizabeth Byerley, Kristi Crisler, kathrine Rushing, Candice Parker, Kim Ezelle, Taylor Russell and Madison Russell and nine great-grandchildren.

Russ was born in Morehead, North Carolina on July 31, 1923. He served in the U.S Army. He was a sales representative in the grocery food industry. He was a mason and a member of the lions Club. He attended Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton, MS, where he served faithfully as a deacon, usher and served on the building committee. He loved the Lord and not only did he like to fish but he was a fisherman of men. He was a great father, husband and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
