Allan William Bennett went to be with the Lord peacefully as he slept on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was born on September 26, 1931 and served the Lord faithfully for many years. He married Carol June (Davis) Bennett on September 16, 1960 and lived happily with his bride for over sixty-two years.
Allan served in the United States Army, as part of the Big Red One 1st Infantry Division from 1955 to 1957 as an E-4 Specialist, at Fort Riley, Kansas, as a Medic. Al was an avid stamp collector. beginning as a young man. Al and Carol enjoyed travelling all over the US, including to Alaska, as well as to England, Scotland and Wales. Al and Carol have been members of Bethany Baptist Church for 45 years, where he served for many years as a Bible teacher, as well as in the church office. Al also served at Upper Peninsula Bible Camp over the years as a speaker at Boy's camp. Al was a pharmacist for over 65 years at Wayne Apothecary, K-Mart, and Armada Pharmacy. Allan Bennett was a wonderful and humble servant, a loving husband and father, and a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather.
Allan is survived by his wife Carol, his daughter Karen, and her husband Tim Callahan, his son Brian, and his wife Barbara, and son David and his wife, Kristin. He also leaves behind grandsons Joshua. Benjamin, Allan and Michael. and great grandchildren Andrew, Adrian, Adleigh and Leeland. He is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Agnes, his sister Vera, and his great-granddaughter Aiyla.

A visitation for Al will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM, at Bethany Baptist Church, 19700 15 Mile Rd, Clinton Township, Michigan 48035. A committal service and burial will occur Friday, January 27, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, Michigan 48443.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Upper Peninsula Bible Camp, PO Box 338, Little Lake, Michigan, 49833 or to Bethany Baptist, to the Missions Fund, 19700 15 Mile Road, Clinton Township, Michigan, 48035.
