Anna Rose Furnari

Anna Rose, age 91, April 15, 2013. Anna was a fireball of a woman, a force to be reckoned with! She was born in Pennsylvania, where she lived with her family until they moved to Detroit when she was 5 years old. She graduated from Southeastern High School where she met her lifelong friends, “The Boudalettes”. She married Leo Paul Furnari in 1949. Leo passed away in 1968 and Anna raised their 5 children on her own. She worked at the Clinton Township Senior Center until she was 85. She enjoyed doing yoga, playing bocce and working on the Southeastern reunion committee. Anna touched the lives of so many people with her love, spunk and sass!

Anna will be lovingly remembered by her children Joe (Gloria), Leona (Bob), Loretta (Don), Josie (Ed) & Vince (Suzanne), her grandchildren Kevin (Paola), Matthew, Anna (Isaac), Nicole (Johnny), Andrea (Mike), Christina (Chris), Tony, Anne, Daniel, and Leo, her 5 great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law Dolores, and her many loving nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Vincenzo and Josephine (nee Mazza) Chiera, her brothers Tony and Frank Chiera, and her sister Dolores Binney.

Visitation at Friday 1 to 9pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Rd., Clinton Township, 48038, and Saturday 8:30 to 10:30am. Rosary Friday 7pm. A funeral Mass will be Saturday at 11am at St. Paul of Tarsus, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd. Clinton Twp, 48038.
