Attea M. Barnes

Attea M. Barnes, age 88, passed away peacefully in her home in Sterling Heights, surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday June 25, 2015. Tea, as she was lovingly called by her husband Frank, was born on May 25, 1927 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Paulo Luigi and Secunda (Magalatta) Bronzetti, the younger of their two daughters. After the death of her biological mother, she was raised and loved by August and Marie (Gardini) Gasperoni. She married Frank Barnes, the love of her life, on August 16, 1947. Together they had five children. Family, Faith and Hospitality were the priorities of Tea's life. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank, sister Adelvice, son-in-law Ray and great grand daughter Eilise. Left to honor and love her are her five children Christine (Ray) Bourcier, David (Danette) Barnes, Linda (Richard) Pittiglio, Tab (Sandy) Barnes, Clarissa (John) Gibbs, and former daughter-in-law Norma Barnes. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
