Carolyn was a long time resident of Eastpointe, and employee of NBD. She loved to play tennis, read, rock babies, do their laundry, and knit dishcloths. Carolyn was a baker of the most awesome cookies and lemon meringue pie. She always dressed up to travel, and suggested going for walks after large family dinners. People were often surprised and said “Your Grandma plays tennis?” Carolyn was known to say; “thought you could use a dollar”, “Need any dish clothes?” She will be greatly missed.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Eric) Schulz of Clinton Township, son, Robert (Debra) Lyon of Zephyrhills, FL; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lyon; her daughter, Susan Lyon and sister, Martha Sideran.
Visitation for Carolyn will be Sunday, April 15 from 2:00-8:00 pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, MI 48035. A funeral service will be Monday, April 16 at 11:00 am at Christ Church of Fraser with visitation from 10:00am to the time of service.
Burial will be a Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
