Kennedy, Constance “Connie” S., age 71 of Clinton Township, Michigan, passed away on January 30, 2019. She is the beloved wife of James; Loving mother of Katherine Constance and James Frederic; Cherished grandmother of Danny Kennedy and Charles Cheshure; Dear great-grandmother of Brendan and Hayden Elizabeth.
Connie was a kind, honest and generous soul. She loved her husband, children, grandkids and great grandchildren. She was known to be a political and historical junkie. She enjoyed boating with her Dad on Lake St. Clair and passed that joy and enthusiasm on to others. She could waterski into her Fifty’s and learned to snow ski at forty. She was a substitute teacher, and sold life insurance like her Dad. For the last 20 years she designed and sold commercial playgrounds. Her motto was ‘making it right for the kids’ and this could be seen whenever she saw children playing on one of her designs.
Her love for cooking for the family and teaching others to cook was a passion. Her love of gardening and flowers was instilled in her by her Nana. It was life-long and with help she created a Certified Monarch Butterfly Waystation with a fairytale bridge in her backyard. It is a one of a kind just like her.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4-8 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. Services will continue at Resurrection Funeral Home on Saturday, February 2, 2019, with a brief visitation at 9:30 AM until the time of funeral service at 10 AM. Following the service the family invites everyone to join them for a brunch in Connie’s honor at The Mirage Elegant Banquet Center, 16980 18 Mile Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
