Dahlia Rose Marie Shakespeare-Sharpe, born on March 12, 1972, passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 53. A resident of Roseville, Michigan, Dahlia was born at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Duhaney Park, Kingston, Jamaica. She was known for being God-fearing, jovial, kind, caring, selfless and family-oriented.
Dahlia had a fulfilling career with First Call Quality Services as a Quality Team Leader and Sampar's Cash & Carry. In her personal life, she enjoyed reading the Bible, watching television, dancing, and cooking to name a few. She also had a special love for traveling to Jamaica and her beloved dog, Chase. Dahlia was a devoted Christian and was actively involved with the Deliverance Full Gospel Church of God and The Woods Church.
Dahlia is survived by her children: Yazid Beckford, Joevar Beckford, and Taffawah Sharpe; grandchildren: Zuri Beckford and Zori Beckford; mother, Adeline Joyce Geohaghan; and siblings: Hyacinth Shakespeare, Wayne Moodie, Leonard Miller, Desmond Shakespeare, Derrick Shakespeare, Horace Shakespeare, Kerry-Ann Shakespeare, Nashane Shakespeare.
Dahlia is preceded in death by her father, Victor Rodolf Shakespeare.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 16, at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI, 48035, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will be again, Saturday, January 17, at The Woods Church, 14300 E Thirteen Mile Rd, Warren, MI, 48088, on January 17, 2026, from 9:00 am until a Funeral Service at 10:00 am.
