Daniel Allen Karas, age 74, died Saturday, February 11, 2012. He was a resident of Sterling Heights. He is survived by his adoring wife Valerie (nee Vanfleteren). He was the loving father of Edward (Colleen), Frederick, Daniel, Suzanne (Bob) Deaton, Monica (Wayne) Rem, Robert (Jen) Destross and Jason Destross. He was the dear grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents John and Catherine Karas; siblings John, Stanley, Walter, Robert and Patricia Prano. He was also predeceased by his son John. He was retired from General Dynamics as a welder and painter, and was also a lifetime member of the NRA Eagles. His favorite hobbies included hunting, woodworking, and collecting replica cars. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-9:00PM, Wednesday 2-9:00PM, with a scripture service at 7:00PM at Resurrection Funeral Home 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038.
