Lorraine & Julie - Please accept our sympathies for the passing of your Dad.  We loved your parents and still miss them deeply as our neighbors.  They were simply the best people and they have left us with many memories that make us smile.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dad.  Lots of memories from childhood being around your family.  I hope your memories will comfort you in the difficult times to come.  I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. 

I attended Adams from 1961 through 1964.  Mr. Bedard and the staff he assembled led by Mr. Earl Chabogian created a family environment that welcomed so many kids who lacked  a stable home situation.  I view my time at Adams watching the pros demonstrate daily  how it was done  as an inspiration to become a teacher.  Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Bedard.  (Mrs. Bedard was my first grade teacher at Lincoln and taught me to read among other things)

We  had many good memories with Corky and Shirley and the Carroll’s.  We have pictures of them at our cottage up North and we enjoyed  their Christmas parties.  Their house was always beautifully decorated  at Christmas. 

I have so many memories of my Uncle Cork. From the time I was very small (little bit) until now. The laughs, the songs, the Tuesday night card games and many many more. Most of all I remember the feeling I got every time I walked into his house. It was like coming home again. It was love.

I have so very, very many memories that go back so very, very many years, I don't  think I can remember a time that the Bedards weren't a part of my life.  Even before my parents bought their cottage 2 doors down from the Bedard cottage, I remember some wildly fun insurance conferences. I am so incredibly blessed to have known  Cork and he was such a wonderful, wonderful man!!! I can picture him  on heaven's golf course  saying "You've never parred this hole, have you Chuck?"  Sending my sympathy and love!!!

I have tons of memories but my favorite was every single time I showed up at his cottage in Canada or his home he would sing the Kelly song to me. "Has anyone here seen kelly...KE double L Y...Why? because we love you"! He was like a second grandpa to me as a kid and he will forever be in my heart!

Mr. Bedard and his late wife Shirley were among my parents’ (Chuck and Shirley Carroll) very best friends. Oh the fun they had and the laughs they shared! If I had a nickel ... It was because of the Bedards that my parents bought a cottage in their neighborhood in Canada, where they eventually retired. So many memories there—golfing, playing cards, drinking beer, making music, walking on the beach and, of course, lots of laughing.  What a gem (as my mom would say) Don Bedard was.  Kind, smart, funny, musical, loving and always with a ready smile and twinkle in his eye. Our condolences to his kids and the entire family.
