Donald S. Capozzoli, age 71, of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away suddenly on February 12, 2020. He is the loving father of Christopher Capozzoli, Stephanie (Harry) Inch Kimberly Shea; Cherished grandfather of Emily Inch; Dear brother of Rosalie Walsh-Speshock (Martin); Dearest uncle of Mark Walsh and Kevin Walsh and their families.
Don was a kind, warm, caring and giving person. He was admired by those who knew him because he was a man who stood behind his convictions. Don was a “go-to” guy, a person who was a positive influence to many people. Don loved to laugh, loved music, and was particularly passionate about golfing. He had a talent for cooking, and loved to make apple pie and his famous spaghetti and meatballs, which his friends and family raved about. At the height of his broadcasting career, Don was one of the top DJs in North Carolina. He also was a proud Marine veteran, and served during the Vietnam War. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him, because to know him was to love him.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2020 from 2-8 PM, with a funeral service to follow Monday, February 17, 2020 at 11 AM, at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
