My, grandma, granny, graham cracker, Oma B, are all the endearing names I’ve called her over the years, played such a significant role in my life. In fact, most of the best memories I have growing up, include her. As a young kid I would remember my twin sister and I sharing a seat in her corvette, bumming around town, to places like Mario’s Bakery, & the tool & die shop. People would always, ask if we were twins, and she would proudly say yes, then of course they wouldn’t believe that she was old enough to be our grandmother. She loved to spoil us with sweets, soda pop, sleepovers, and sometimes…we even got to eat in front of the tv! Best part, in her eyes, the twins could do no wrong. She was always so supportive, generous, full of good advice, and continually reminded us to be careful. I will miss her dearly, but take solace in the fact that I will see her again, in heaven.

Growing up I was blessed to know and be able to spend some time with a great-grandmother, Oma B! I can truly say that every time I saw her she was always joyful with a big smile on her face and was usually laughing at my brother Ocean and the wild things he had to say. My favorite memories of Oma B were brunches at the Pancake house! I would typically order a huge pile of chocolate chip pancakes and every time she would ask me if I would be able to finish it all with a surprised look on her face.  I also remember her asking my mom and aunt what was going on in their crazy lives and making sure they were making wise decisions! Always wise input from Oma B, especially to the twins!! Thankful to have her in my life and all the laughs she shared with everyone!

I remember where a whole lot of those pictures were taken. Being the first-born spoiled son for about 8 years my mom and I would catch the bus/streetcar at 8 mile and Gratiot, grab a slider at Top hats and go to Hudson's downtown. 
I always wanted to drink water out of the giant brass bubbler drinking fountains. 
We would always catch lunch at Sanders next and a hot fudge sundae before heading back home.

Many of you may know her as Elenor, Grandma, Mom, or another name. I knew her as Oma B. I was not blessed with as much time as many of you have had with her, but almost all of my memories are positive. One of the first that comes to mind is the Christmas Eve days when almost all of the Bredows and their children would visit, exchange gifts, and so on. I was very young then, but I usually remember her looking at what I got and wondering, "Why would he want this weird toy, electronic, etc.?" More importantly from her, I remember the laughter and smiles on those days, even if she didn't understand why I would want some weird action figure or Lego set. She always loved to laugh with me, and I think those Christmas Eve gatherings were some of the best times we ever had as Great-Grandmother and Great-Grandson.
