

Floyd C. Biggs, age 91, passed away June 22, 2013 in Clinton Township. He was born September 22, 1921 in Lansing, Michigan. He was a graduate of Edwin Denby High School in Detroit in June 1940. The U.S. entered World War II and Floyd was drafted into the Army 16 Oct 1942. He was in the 210th Signal Depot Company and after basic training in Texas, he went overseas 08 JUL 1943. They landed on a small island in the Pacific called New Caledonia and established a signal corp. depot. Floyd was promoted to Corporal and was in charge of damaged and obsolete equipment. He arrived back in the USA 03 DEC 1945 and received an honorable discharge 11 DEC 1945. He retired after 20 years as a designer/draftsman with GM. Later,he was active with his wife in several senior citizen groups in Macomb County. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Arlene (nee Cudnau). He was the father of David (Cheryl), Marcia, Glenn (Kerri), Valerie, and Sheila (Paul) Jakel. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday 3-8:00 pm, rosary 7:30 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, MI 48038. He will be instate Wednesday 9:30 am until time of mass 10:00 am at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Community, 48115 Schoenherr, Shelby Township, MI 48315. Burial will be at Clinton Grove Cemetery.
