Floyd Eugene Helsel, passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the age of 86. Floyd was the loving husband of Marion Helsel for 56 years. The beloved father of Floyd Richard (Carrie Bennett) Helsel and Fred Eugene (Lisa) Helsel. He was the cherished grandfather of Kayla Marie, Kyle Richard, Connor Floyd, Joshua Vincent and Micaela Elizabeth Kay. He was the dear brother of Eva Linda Raica. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Eleanor Helsel and siblings Robert Wayne Helsel, Alethea Mazzoline, Florence Arlene Schaefer, Shirley Jean Bean, Joan Ilene Hillard, and Donna Helsel.
Floyd had a versatile career in construction. He was skilled in many different jobs and trades. In his lifetime Floyd enjoyed bowling, camping and travel. Throughout the years, Floyd and Marion were able to travel to all 50 states. Floyd always kept a positive attitude and wanted his children and grandchildren to never give up and always do their best. His family and friends will miss Floyd’s kindness, strength and good spirit.
Visitation for Floyd will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. Visitation will continue on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Luncheon will follow after service at Fraser Lions Club 34540 Utica Rd, Fraser.
