Fredrick G. Richter

Fred was the beloved husband for 68 years of Estrella L. Richter; loving father of Leslie (Glenn) Dusing, Renae (Kenneth) Rooks, and Dana (Tony) Kaptrosky.

Fred is predeceased by his siblings, Adolf (Edna) Richter and Hilda (Gordon) Cooper.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Fred was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He loved the work that he did for Detroit Edison for 40 years, which he missed quite a bit after he retired. Fred was also a member of the American Legion Thomas A. Edison Post 187.

Fred loved traveling, he loved his pet dogs, and above all he loved his family. He was a talented man. Woodcarving, fixing things, building things around the house; he was truly a jack-of-all-trades. And no one who met him and spent any amount of time with him could forget his witty banter and great sense of humor.

Visitation Wednesday, December 27, 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. Time of Sharing Service at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Twp.
