Glenn passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2025, at his home in Eastpointe, MI. He was born on September 24, 1959, in Grosse Pointe, MI., and was raised on the eastside of Detroit. He attended Assumption Grotto for grade school, followed by DeLasalle Collegiate for high school. After high school, he joined the Navy at age 17, one month shy of his 18th birthday. After serving for four years with a final ranking as RM2 or Radioman, Petty Officer Second Class, he was honorably discharged with Admiral commendations.
After the Navy, he was employed at BonSecours hospital, beginning as a medical transporter. He moved to the IT department and became a computer analyst where he remained for 30 plus years, navigating through the changes as the hospital transitioned to Beaumont Grosse Pointe and working remotely from home became common.
Glenn enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He liked travel, golf, fishing, cooking and playing cards. He was an avid reader and had a good grasp of grammar and didn't hesitate in correcting wrong grammar usage when it was presented to him. He took frequent motorcycle trips with the RIDE MOTORCYCLE CLUB where he was known as Dr. Baldy. His passion was music. He loved all types of music from classical to Ska, with Blues and Rock being among his favorites. He was always up for a concert or a weekend at a music festival. As well as listening to music, he played the piano, harmonica and guitar. He was happiest helping friends and afterward having a BBQ and some beers in the backyard. He is best described by the motto Love the Life You Live and Live the Life You Love.
Glenn was preceded in death by his mother Dolores, father Eugene and niece Vicky. He is survived by his sisters Valerie, Denise (Scott) Freeman, Julie (Jay) Brobst, and Lynn (Ken) Klann as well as nephews Luke, Benjamin, Zachary and niece Kate. Also many great nieces and nephews and numerous cousins. Also survived by the Kauffman and Emmons families, neighbors he cherished and considered as family.
