He is survived by his loving wife, Christel; daughters Coleen (Tyrone) Hearing; Valerie (Georg) Minert; Gloria (Don) Gaunt; and Sherie (Brian) Gekiere. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Kaul Funeral Home; 35201 Garfield Clinton Township, MI 48035 of Friday january 24, 2014 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at Hope Community Baptist Church; 42259 Hayes, Sterling Heights, MI 48313 on Saturday January 25, 2014. He will be instate at 10:00am, with the service beginning at 11:00am. We will be processing from the church to Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery after the service to honor Mr. Sonnenberg with military honors.
A Memorial Luncheon will take place at Hope Community Baptist Church.
