Henry proudly served in the United State Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion. Henry was a member of St. Paul of Tarsus, the Journey men men's group and a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Chapter at St. Paul of Tarsus. He was also a member of the Belgian American Businessmen Club.
Henry is survived by his children, Michelle (Mark) Stephenson, Andrea (Chris Johnston) Leflere, Marc (Lauren) Leflere; grandchildren, Bobby, Justin, Leya Rae, Stella, Ava, Isla, Rocky, Henry; his sister, Julie Sawaya; his nieces, Theresa and Pam; his longtime companion, Carol Golec; and the mother of his children, Rose Leflere.
A memorial visitation for Henry will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4 pm to 8 pm with a 7pm Knights of Columbus Service at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035. An instate will occur Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 10 am at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038. Inurnment will be Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 1pm Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Michigan.
