    You and I were partners on the Detoit police dept. for years and our scout car # was 55. Those are 2 numbers I will never forget. People don't realize how hard it is sometimes, to get along for 8 hours. I still remember you saying to me, "Bob, it's time we take the horse back to the barn." (meaning a scout car) 
   Jack, there aren't enough words in the webster dictionary to describe how good of a friend you were!

When I was young, my Uncle Jack was so cool: finished basement, pool table, Rock and Rye pop, car radio with reverb. I learned to drive a stick shift in his Ford. When I was older I saw he was a "Jack of all Trades and A Master of All" but even more than that he had a big heart. Almost every Sunday he and Aunt Virginia would visit my parents who were a lot older and go to lunch with them. My parents really looked forward to that. He and Aunt Virginia took them on vacation also. But most of all he was a man still in love after all those years of marriage. What a role model! I will miss him but have so many memories. PS His picture in his Police uniform was always next to my drivers license.

Heartfelt sympathies go to all of you on your loss. Jack was a wonderful AAA Michigan coworker and friend and will be greatly missed. I pray that God will send you his peace to lighten your saddened hearts.

Uncle Jack was my Confirmation sponsor back around 1946 after returning from serving and being awarded the Purple Heart medal for the wound he suffered in the Italian Campaign in WWII. I will always remember him as being a dedicated Catholic with special devotion to the Blessed Mother. He was also witty, street smart, and capable as a mechanic, carpenter, plumber, electrician, and any other skill that was needed. He was a very special uncle to me. I cherish his memory.
