Jim loved animals, and was a former owner of "Lurking in the Weeds." There wasn't an animal he didn't like. He was an avid supporter of protecting endangered Rhinoceroses. Jim battled cancer for 3 years. He was very family oriented, family came first.
Jim is survived by his siblings, Chuck (Peggy) Smith and Kyle Smith and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jame & Una Smith; a brother Jon Smith; and nephew, Ian Madeline.
A visitation for Jim will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035, followed by a funeral service from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
