Joseph H. Krumpholz, age 85, died May 31, 2018. Beloved husband of Lorraine for 65 years. Loving father of Kathy (Brian) Larsen, Michael (Katie), and Jeffrey. Dearest grandfather of Brenna (Art) Godin, Dane (Christopher Ankney) Larsen, Tricia (Alex) Campbell, and Joe Krumpholz. Dear great-grandfather of Merritt and Elise. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Elsie Krumpholz. Visitation Monday, June 4, 2018 from 3-8 pm with a Funeral Service at 3:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes, Clinton Township. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
Joe grew up in East Detroit and attended East Detroit High School. He played the Trombone in the school band. He graduated in 1951, and attended Lawrence Technical Institute. He then apprenticed with his Uncle in the Tool and Die industry. He worked at Draftline Engineering for over 40 years until his retirement in 1996. His last position with the company was as President.
Joe and Lorraine met in high school and married after Lorraine graduated in 1952. They lived in East Detroit until 1975 when they moved to Shelby Township. After raising 3 kids and then retiring, they bought a motorhome and did some traveling. They were avid golfers and would golf wherever they traveled.
Joe loved working in his yard and keeping his cars clean. He loved his family and was proud of every one of them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed very much.
