Beloved wife of Thomas Desmarais; loving mother of Michael and Melissa (Jesse); proud grandma of Mia, William, and Andrew; dear sister of Carl (Tracie), and Millie (Mike); she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Kathlyn was preceded in passing by her parents, Joseph and Kathleen Monforte; and brothers, Claud and Joe.
Kathlyn was born in Detroit on February 1, 1955. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom, in 1976. Kathlyn was loving, kind, and deeply nurturing. She was a passionate caregiver and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
At this time, the family has chosen to remember Kathlyn privately. Inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp., at a later date.
