Leonard Michael Aleksander (Lenny) age 83, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was a lifelong resident of Fenton, Michigan and had lived in Sterling Heights, Michigan for the past three years.
Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Bernadine (Bobbi) Dusman, two children: Susan (Scott) Walker of Clarkston, Michigan and Christopher (Lisa) Aleksander of Sterling Heights, Michigan. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Marc Stanley, Kristina (Edward) Vaughan, Ashlee Aleksander, Leigha Walker and Allison Aleksander and one great grandson, Jackson Stanley.
Leonard proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from General Motors, Flint Truck and Bus Group in 1991.
Leonard requested a private committal service with his immediate family and was laid to rest on September 11, 2015 at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan with Military Honors.
