Linda D. Friedman (nee walker) age 70, passed away March 29, 2019. Born June 12, 1948 to Lloyd D. and Lillian R. Walker she was the oldest of 3 children. She is survived by her daughter Lynette (Keith) Ricker; sister Lenore “Deb” Walker and nephew David Walker.
Linda was a mother, daughter, sister, wife and aunt, she was many things as we all are as we travel through this life. She was beautiful, strong willed, intelligent and loved animals. Throughout her life she had cats, dogs and goats that were known to have mittens on their ears if it’s cold out.
She was a very talented artist who could create beautiful sculptures, drawings, paintings and furniture. As Linda aged and she did so gracefully, she never cut her hair. Lynette would on rare occasions try to do her mom’s hair but it would always end up back in her signature braids.
Linda attended Detroit Lutheran School for the Deaf and the later graduated from Cousino High School in 1966.
Prior to marrying Alec Friendman, Linda worked at TACOM and was the fastest key punch in her department. After that she stayed home with her daughter teaching her how to navigate life. Linda will be greatly miss by all who knew her- her legacy will live on through her family.
