Lynne Terese Fici, age 70, of Clinton Township, Michigan passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. She was born in Detroit, Michigan to George and Sylvia Connors. Lynne was the youngest of 7 siblings who called her “Little Lynnie the Caboose.”
She went to school at St. Matthews from kindergarten to 8th grade and graduated from Bishop Gallagher High School. In those high school years is when she met her lifelong sweetheart Edward “Eddie” Fici. Lynne and Edward spent 49 years happily married and had three children.
During her working career, Lynne spent 9 years in the FBI Detroit office, 2 years with American Greetings and 20 Years in the Clinton Township Court District 41B. Aside from her career and raising three children, Lynne loved going camping, especially up to Higgins Lake, which was her Happy Place. She loved dancing and crocheting. Her crocheting led to thousands of lap blankets for hospice patients and beanie caps for babies in the hospital NICU that were donated over the years.
Lynne is survived by her husband Edward Fici, her children Cheryl (Matt) Miller, Melanie (Colin) Arnold, Edward Jr. “Little Eddie” (Krystal) Fici, her grandchildren Matthew Jr., Marcus, Tanner, Mason, Salvatore and Kara. Her siblings Robert (Judi) Connors, Kathleen “Kay” (George) Eiswirth and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings, George Patrick II, James Michael, Carole and Thomas.
Lynne was a 20-year breast cancer survivor and in 2019 was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) a form of dementia. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or to the Michigan Brain Bank. Links are available below.
A visitation for Lynne will be held Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48035, followed by a Rosary Service from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Lynne will be In State Monday January 30th, 2023 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank Road, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
