Margaret Matleen Gibson

Margaret Matleen (McKaig) Gibson, age 90, passed away at home on October 31, 2024. Known as Matleen or Mat to her friends and family, she was born and raised in Tennessee, but made Michigan her home in June of 1955. While Matleen held various jobs, taking care of her family and home was her proudest accomplishment, along with being an excellent seamstress. Beloved wife of the late Thomas H. Gibson Sr. Dearest mother of M. Rebecca (Charles) Anglin, the late Cynthia L. Craft, Janet (Tom) Hendershot, Thomas (Nancy) Gibson Jr., Elizabeth (John) Sorgen and Shannon Kovalcik. Loving grandmother to Jason (Heidi) Anglin, Thomas (Heather) Hendershot, Jessica (Elise) Anglin, Katherine (Brad) Golder, Sarah Gibson, David (Kim) Gibson and Philip (Raven Poole) Gibson. Great-grandmother to Jacob & Ian Lary and Caitlin Sorgen; Cynthia, Jack and Rachel Kovalcik; Henry, Harper and Hayes Hendershot; Scout and Elijah Anglin; Gibson and Grace Golder; and Riley Gibson. Predeceased by her brother Clyde McKaig and sister Kathleen Haun. Survived by brothers-in-law Charles, Fred and Terry Gibson; sister-in-law Bess Peters; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Visitation - Friday, November 8, 2024 10am-12pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Township. Funeral service immediately following visitation.
