Marie retired after a long and fulfilling career as a paraprofessional with Warren Consolidated Schools, where she nurtured countless young minds and hearts. Children always brought a special sparkle to her eyes, and she gave freely of her time, her love, and her endless patience.
She held her friendships close and dear—from childhood pals in elementary and high school to the lifelong bonds formed over decades. Marie often spoke with fondness about her cherished "old neighborhood," especially Wilshire Street, which always held a special place in her heart.
To her many nieces and nephews, Marie was more than just an aunt—she was a confidante, a caring supporter, and a source of endless warmth. Her laugh—joyful and infectious—had the power to make your heart smile.
Marie’s kindness, her faith, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Marie was a devoted Catholic who lit candles and said prayers for everyone she loved. Her deep compassion and generosity touched the lives of many.
Marie is survived by Bob Wiertel, her most caring friend; siblings: Jim Kerry and Tim (Jennifer) Kerry; nieces and nephews: Kelly (Sam) Peterson, Mark (Becci), Brian (Jenny), Stephen (Sara), Anthony, and Alexandra; great-nieces, a great-grandniece; and a great-grandnephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Geraldine Kerry; and her siblings: Dennis (Laura) Kerry, Kathleen Kerry, and Gerard Kerry.
