Marilyn Helen Barros, age 84, of Macomb, Michigan, passed away on September 23, 2022. She is the beloved mother of Barb (Phil) Church, Dave (Toniann) Stone, Jill (Don) Kennedy, Jimmy Stone, Mark Stone, Guy (Christy) Stone, Pat Stone and the late Michael Stone; Cherished grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 12; Dearest friend of previous spouses, James Stone and the late Robert Barros; Treasured sister of Robert Edwards (Joan), Janet Sterrett (Roger), Steve Conn, Kathy (Paul) Giordano, the late Bernice Menzo (the late Larry), and the late Peggy Manderino (the late Sam).
Marilyn was a dedicated mother, sister, grandmother, wife and friend. From a young age she became a devoted mother, raising a family of 8 children. Her greatest joy was always being with her family, especially as it grew and expanded over the years. She also served the public in the food industry, as a restaurant owner with her first husband and later years as a waitress. She was also an avid reader. She leaves behind a legacy of love and care, and will be greatly missed.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 2-8 PM, with a funeral service at 7 PM at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Township, Michigan. A brief memorial at the cremation burial site will follow on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 2 PM, at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, Clinton Township, Michigan.
