Born on June 14, 1931, in Detroit to the late Michael and Elizabeth Miller, Mary worked at Packard Motor Company in the late 1940's. She married Gilbert Berry on May 24, 1952. They remained united until his passing in 2011.
Mary will be remembered for her sweet and compassionate nature. She lived her life with a selfless spirit, always putting others before herself and offering a listening ear, a helping hand, or a comforting word whenever it was needed. Her kindness was not grand or showy—it was steady, genuine, and deeply felt by all who knew her.
She also carried a wonderful sense of humor, bringing lightness and joy into everyday moments. Whether through a clever remark or a shared laugh, she had a way of making people feel at ease and reminding them not to take life too seriously.
Music was one of Mary's great joys. She had a special talent for playing the piano, organ, and accordion, filling rooms with melodies that reflected her gentle spirit. Her love for music was something she gladly shared, creating memories that will continue to echo in the hearts of those who heard her play.
Mary found comfort and happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished old Hollywood movies and television shows, especially those that told heartfelt, human stories. She enjoyed peaceful trips Up North and visits to Metro Beach, where she could relax and take in the beauty of her surroundings.
Her faith was an important part of who she was. As a proud Lutheran, Mary carried her beliefs with quiet devotion, guiding her actions and shaping the compassion she showed to others every day.
Mary is survived by her children: Janice (the late Sam) Falleti, Daniel (Nancy) Berry, Maureen (Jim) Wood, and Colleen (Dennis) Kerr; grandchildren: Rachael Kellum, Kyle Berry, Amber Wood, Benjamin Wood, and Nathan Wood; and great-grandchildren: Violet Berry, Isaac Berry, Aiden Ouvry, Alayah Waters, Angeline Wood and Trinity Wood. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Gilbert; their daughter, Sandra: parents, Michael and Elizabeth Miller; and brother, Adam Miller.
Above all, Mary will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the gentle way she made the world a better place. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured by those fortunate enough to have known her.
