Maximilian Locher, age 86, passed away on August 28, 2015 in a nursing home in Attica, MI. Max was born on August 8, 1929 to Georg Locher and Theresia (Beck) Locher in Dietenheim, Germany. He was preceded in death by his loving wife (married for 56 years), Franziska (nee Guster) Locher. He was a proud member of the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters for 28 years. He was also a member of the Verein de Österreicher Austrian Society of Michigan and the Carpathia Club. Dear Father to John (Patricia Arnott) Locher and the late Robert Locher. He was a loving grandfather to Jennifer (Dr. Mike Mitchell) Mitchell-Locher, Robert (Heather Bunting) Locher, and Erika Locher. Also he was a Great Grandfather to Matthew, Joshua, Molly and Natalie. He is survived by his sister Helen Pickl.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday 11:00 am at St. Michael Catholic church, 40501 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, MI. 48313. Additional visitation at church 10:30am to 11:00 am.
