Mildred S. Wiater, age 93, died June 21, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Frank for 56 years. Loving mother of the late Cynthia Nelson, Kathryn Wiater, Rose Wiater, and Frank Wiater. Dearest grandmother of Peter (Katrina) Nelson and Bret (Kari) Nelson. Dear great-grandmother of Brianna, Finn, Kaylee, and Blake. Mother-in-law of Douglas Nelson. Sister of Suzanne German and the late Sylvia Gray. Mildred was a WWII Rosie the Riveter on B-17’s. She was very proud of the fact that she was the first woman to work in her plant. Visitation Friday, June 24, 2016 from 3-9 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Rd., Clinton Township, Michigan. Instate Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 9 am until time of Mass at 9:30 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Rd, Sterling Heights, Michigan. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
