Pat was my neighbor on Imperial Drive for many years.  Since we both moved, we had spoken once or twice by phone -- a few recent attempts to call her were met with an unworking number.  Only just today, I searched for an obit and found this posting.

I hope you are able to receive my condolence -- Pat was such a refined, lovely woman -- and the perfect neighbor.  I'm so glad that she had family to care for her and usher her in to the afterlife.

I worked with Pat for many years a the VA
in Detroit.  I only saw her death notice in Saturday paper as I was reading it in the evening.  My wife and I would have surely attended the service had we known.

Aunt Pat was always a sweet and kind person. I have so many memories of BBQs, parties and just random get togethers with her there. She always made a point to come and have a chat. She always had a smile on. She was a lovely person and will be missed. And her macaroons!! I've never had one better than hers!

Aunt Pat has been so special me in so many ways like her and I laughing and talking at night about when she was younger and her sisters would bug her to play paper dolls.  She also helped me with learning to sew, we made a red and white checked pinafore dress.  We had alot of trouble with the zipper Aunt Pat must have ripped that zipper out a dozen times but she didn't care one bit.  she was so patient with me.  And my dress was my favorite at that time I was 15 years old.  We always had fun no matter what we did.  Aunt Pat's home is heaven now and we can have joy in our hearts.  Memories are forever.

She was such a lovely lady...I enjoyed getting to know her over the years and will miss her famous cookies at Christmas......

I knew Pat for so many years as Nancy, Dick and Pat. I will always remember her as the most gentle soul I had ever met.

Words cannot describe how much Aunt Pat means to me. I'm so blessed to have been a part of her life. My favorite memory with her is when she baby sat me when I was little and I got my first wiggly tooth. I kept wiggling it and Aunt Pat said stop wiggling it it's not ready. By the end of the night it was out and I remember her laughing when I showed her because the whole root was still on it.... The last words she said to me were " I'm so proud of you" and that's something I will cherish forever

My favorite memory of Aunt Pat is whenever I got to visit Michigan I stayed with Aunt Pat whenever I could and we stayed up late and watched musicals.  Probably the most memorable visit was my freshman year of high school when I went to homecoming with a senior and returned like three hours after curfew because we really were caught in a traffic jam in a parking garage. This of course was before cellphones and I think I quite literally gave Aunt Pat a heart attack. But she loved me through it all although I don't know if she believed me but it really was true!!!

Aunt Pat was an amazing woman  and she has richly blessed our family by being a part of it. I am so thankful for the time I had with her especially these last seven months.  She has been such a wonderful example of how a Christian live and die. My boys  my husband and myself will always cherish our time with her and we can't wait to see her again.
