Robert served his country with honor, spending three years in the Army beginning in 1962.
In 1968, Robert married Natalie in Hamtramck, Michigan. Their marriage of 58 years stood as a lasting testament to devotion, partnership, and the quiet strength of a life built together.
A man known for a warm heart and an easy sense of humor, Robert could bring comfort and laughter in equal measure. He found joy in simple, faithful routines and the friendships formed along the way - whether on the golf course or in the company of those he cared about most. An avid golfer, he played in a league with Chevrolet, and he also bowled in the Knights of Columbus bowling league. He enjoyed fishing and was, as many will remember, always ready for a good laugh.
Robert’s dedication to the Knights of Columbus was a defining part of his life. A member for more than 30 years, he served with care and reliability as Treasurer, District Deputy, and Grand Knight. He was a lifetime member of both the 3rd and 4th Degree, offering his time and leadership with a spirit grounded in generosity and respect for others.
Above all, Robert loved spending time with his family and going up north - moments that reflected what mattered most to him: being present, staying connected, and sharing life with the people he loved.
Robert is survived by his wife, Natalie; children: Robert Jr. (Linda) and Nicholas (Tabitha); grandchildren: Rachel (Max), Rory, Abigail, and Benjamin; great grandchild, Eliana; and siblings: Carolyn and Ronald.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Marguerite; siblings: Geraldine, Milton, Phyllis, and Shirley (Don); and son, Peter, one daughter, and one son.
