Robert A. Paye

Mr. Robert A. Paye age 82, passed away at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan on April 14, 2011. Robert was born on August 11, 1928 in Rahway, New Jersey and after serving in the Army during the Korean War he hopped on his motorcycle and rode to Detroit. There he met the love of his life Genevieve Martz. Robert raised his family in Saint Clair Shores. Fiercely American and imbuing his children with the same, Robert was the dear father of Scott (Robin), Ellen (Roy) Bjork, Colleen (Pete) Tassie, Todd (Brenda) and Andrea (the late Andy) Zima. Robert is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Robert was the former owner of Paye, Fischer Krause Insurance Agency in Clinton Township. Robert was deeply involved with the Catholic Church, most recently he was a member of the St. Paul of Tarsus Parish. His passion for learning and his sense of humor were evident to his last breath. Visitation with the family will be on Monday April 18th from 2-8pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes (s of 18 mi). A memorial funeral mass will be celebrated Monday April 25th at 9:30 am at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Community, Romeo Plank at Canal.
