Rosemary "Rosey" Starr

Rosemary “Rosey” Starr was born March 5, 1946 in Detroit Michigan and passed away at her home in Clinton Township on March 3, 2025. She is survived by her only daughter Lisa Wolfe (Chuck); grandson Trevor Conrad (Olivia); sister Mary Hamilton (Bernie); Cecil Henry Sturgill (Crystal); in-laws George Welch, Margaret (Eric) Koenig, and Annette (Jim) Wilson, Connie Sansom, and Geri (Tom) Dueweke; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Starr, her parents Albert and Margaret “Peggy” Van Der Heyden, brothers James, Lambert and Dennis, sisters Elizabeth and Joann, mother-in-law Ruth Starr, and sister-in-law Patty (John) Bewick.

Rosemary met Billy at Michigan Bell/AT&T where they both worked. They fell in love and eventually married and really loved each other deeply. She loved her family deeply and was like a second mom to many. She had a strong faith in God and always felt “Blessed”. She enjoyed shopping, especially for others and bus trips to the casino with her friends.

Services will be held for Rosey on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road, Clinton Twp, Michigan 48038. A visitation will begin at 10 AM with a funeral service at 12:30 PM. Following the funeral service Rosey will be laid to rest with her late husband at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Twp, Michigan.
