Santo “Sonny” Pagano, age 81, passed away on March 19, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and kindness. He found joy in life's simple pleasures, often visiting the casino and playing cards with his family during gatherings.
His devotion to his wife Barbara was evident, and their time together was precious to him. Sonny was known for his dependability and was a truly good-natured individual. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Sonny was the loving husband of the late Barbara. The beloved father of James Michael Pagano and the late Jeffrey Pagano. The cherished grandfather of Brandon (Tori) Pagano and Jenna Pagano. The dear brother of Leonard (Carol) Pagano and Ida (the late Melvin) Salatrik. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Sonny was greeted in Heaven by his parents Thomas and Josephine (Saverino) Pagano, his father-in-law and mother in-law, Robert and Genevieve Ireland, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Mary Ireland.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 11:00 am at St Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 E 14 Mile Road in Sterling Heights. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday beginning at 10:30 am. Sonny will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, MI following the Funeral Mass.
