Joyce was born December 23, 1925 in Detroit, MI to Thomas and Gertrude McCune. She married Leonard A. Dockus and lived in St. Clair Shores, MI for 42 years. In 1998 Joyce moved to Midland, MI. Joyce is survived by her sister, Lillian Platt of Sterling Heights, MI. Two daughters: Lynn (Ron) Varcak of Crossville, TN, and Joan (Ken) Desloover, of Midland, MI. Six grandchildren: Kevin (Dusty) Varcak, Scott (Christy) Varcak, Brian (Susan) Varcak, Nathan (Kelsey) Desloover, Chelsea Desloover and Casey Desloover and three great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Leonard A. Dockus, her sister, Shirley Simon.
Visitation Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 9am at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 28301 Little Mack, St. Clair Shores, followed by Mass at 10am.
