Virginia K. Vermeersch, age 95, passed away on April 7, 2024. She was the cherished wife of the late Charles Vermeersch. Virginia was the loving mother of the late Charles (Nancy), late LuAnn, and Ken. She was the dear grandmother of Lauren (Scott), Nicole (Brad), Erin (Catilan), Lesa (Larry Thompson), and Paula (Noel). The cherished great-grandmother of Benjamin, Harrison, Olivia, Alexander, Adrienne, Grayson, Hayes, McKenna, Brooklynn, Addison, Christian, Tyler (Micah), Spencer (Gillian), and Megan. Virginia is also survived by her dear sister, Hellen Harrison.
Virginia was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, finding solace and strength in her beliefs. She had a passion for knitting and various crafts, showcasing her creativity and skill. Virginia's life was enriched by a core group of friends from high school, with whom she shared a remarkable 60-year friendship. Above all, Virginia valued her family, faith, and love, which were the cornerstones of her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
A visitation for Virginia will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A rosary service will occur on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 9:30 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 40501 Hayes Road in Sterling Heights. Family and friends may visit the church on Friday beginning at 9:00 am.
